Things are different this year, but there's still a lot we can do to enjoy the holidays. I'm so ready to get cozy at home and binge watch Christmas movies with some hot chocolate (that may or may not have Baileys in it)!
The Cincinnati Nature Center
I know I keep putting this beautiful place on my seasonal bucket lists, but you can't go wrong with this place! Not only is it stunning, they are starting a new winter event this year. Visit Dec 3rd-Jan3rd from 5pm-9pm for Light in the Forest. Walk the trails with beautiful tranquil lighted displays. There will also be bonfires, holiday shopping, and the beautiful Krippendorf Lodge will be decorated for Christmas. I am so excited for this!!

Fountain Square Ice Rink
Go Ice Skating at the iconic Fountain Square Ice Rink. If you're not into that, you're in luck. This year they are adding bumper cars! I'm so ready to try this out! The ice rink opens on November 7th-Feb 15th. There will be a reservation system and masks will be required.

Visit a museum
Stay warm and discover Cincinnati again through some amazing museums.
- The Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal is one of my favorites. They will still be having the Holiday Junction- the beautiful train display that's been a 70 year tradition now! This is included with a museum admission. The Rocky Mountain Express will be playing in the Omnimax screen this year as well! Open November 13, 2020 through January 3, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
-The American Sign Museum is another great one. We just went there this year. Explore beautifully placed lit up and neon signs to get a little break from the Christmas lights!
-National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. I haven't been here yet, but this museum has so much Cincinnati history housed in it about the underground railroad.
Krohn's Conservatory
A Very Merry Garden Holiday will be the display at Krohn's this year! This event starts on November 14th! Explore beautiful seasonal flowers and Holiday displays.
Coney Island
Would it really be Christmas if you didn't drive through the Christmas Nights of Lights at Coney Island? If you haven't been there, this is a drive-thru light display that's synchronized to Christmas music. Just change your radio station in your car and drive through this amazing light show! Also the perfect way to social distance.

Take a horse-drawn carriage ride
Downtown Cincinnati has beautiful horse-drawn carriage rides. Find them at 5th and Vine across from Fountain Square, no reservation is needed just walk up to them! They are there 5pm Friday and Saturdays during winter months. How beautiful and relaxing would it be to explore the city and all the beautiful Christmas lights with a carriage ride at night?! Just walk on over there when you finish ice-skating!
If all else fails, stay home and have a matching pajama party with your dogs!!
I really hope this list helps you find the magic in the 2020 Holidays! Remember to check websites for restrictions and times because everything can change last minute with covid.
What's on your 2020 winter bucket list?! Let me know in the comments!!
